is one the 7 islands that make up the Spanish Canary Islands.

The south side of the island has a desert climat and has very little vegitation
The north part of the island, however, has a much more wet climat and has lots of vegitation
Since the island is one huge vocano, all the beaches have black volcanic sand insted of the normal brown sand

Sunset
Mount Teidie is the main volcano on the island. The entire island was formed around it. It is still active. The last eruption was in the early 1900s and it's expected to erupt again within 10 years.
These are pictures from a bus trip we took up into the crater of the volcano. The crater is about 20 miles wide
